Karl Roved Fired by President Bush for leak to Robert Novak

Karl Rove, the petulant White House strategist, was fired by President Bush for leaking information to Robert Novak. That's right. Peenie Wallie breaks another story wide open. Only, this happened 13 years ago. And it was President George Bush the First. So, it's sort of interesting that Rove and Novak have this history.

I don't really care about parsing all of the statements made over the Plame affair. Don't really care about whether Rove technically violated the law in outing Valerie Plame. I'm just glad that he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar, after repeated denials by Scott McLellan, the White House spokesman.

Bush should fire him, just like his daddy did. Then Rove can come back in a few years and breathe life into Jeb's campaign, and, who knows? Maybe Jeb will get a chance to fire him too. Love him or hate him, Karl Rove is a political genius, and Jeb would be a fool to run for office without him.

Amazing headline. You really had me going there for a second. I read the same story in today's NY Times, but didn't put the two incidents into context as you did. Good for you!

I think Bush should keep Rove, guilty or not.. He is emblematic and indigenous to the horrible legacy the Bush administration will leave behind.
He should not be forgotten.

WAshington Journal host asked person stating the first president Bush had fired Karl Rove. Here is one source, but there are others.

But how does one fire one who got him in office?
There is no telling what he could tell on the boy!

Too bad, the 13 year old firing link fails here - there is no bustbob.com

The mystery is left as...a mystery.

Right, like heaven forbid you actually go to google to see if Rove was fired by George Bush Sr. I've updated the link so it's no longer broken.

Karl Rove, did, in fact, out Valerie Plame. You are too stupid to realize it. Besides, this story is dead. Over. Kaput. Sometimes a dog doesn't know when to let go of the bone.

So,...how does that crow taste?

Repeat after me: "Richard Armitage outed Valerie Plame. I was too stupid to realize it."

There,..feel better?
