My family is all in Biloxi. We survived Camille in 69 (my grandmother still has the marks on her ceiling where the tv was floating). But I'm not so sure what will happen this time. I am glued to the Weather Channel switching back and forth to FOX. But still no pictures of Biloxi. My sister is a nurse at Biloxi Reginal Hospital just a short walk from the gulf beach. They did not close the hospital and she had to go to work or get fired. Does anyone have any news or photo's of this area. Thank you so much.

My Mother-n-Law lives in Biloxi, can someone please give some information about the area of Poppsferry Rd. and Pass Rd.

Sister lived in Pascagoula near the Pascagoula River. She evacuated and is safe in Birmingham. Am looking for photos or info. about the city (i.e. road conditions, etc...). News keeps skipping over it from Biloxi to Mobile. Thanks.

Your comment on the police in New Orleans is, in one word, disgusting. Even now they are risking their lives trying to rescue people. Moreover, they are continuing to rescue people AFTER those same people have tried shooting at them. You shoot at those who are attempting to rescue you, you should be left behind in the toxic waste to drown.

My comments on the New Orleans police are right on target. You obviously know nothing about the notorious NOPD. The New Orleans police put out a hit on an innocent citizen and staged a gang-land style murder robberty of an oriental restaurant.

Initially my reaction to your comments about the police, was the same as Amy's, then I checked out your links about NO Police putting a hit on innocent citizens. I can grasp some of your anger. But do you really think that every NO police officer is as corrupt and self-interested as those in your web-links? There are officers and aid workers out risking their lives dealing with Katrina. Your caption discredits them too. I wonder if it is the same mistrust and hatred of the police that is why residents are shooting at the very police and aid workers that are trying to help them - and consequently slowing the relief effort for everyone.

I agree with jinnet, does it really matter now how corrupt the NOPD is? These cops have families just like anyone else devestated by Hurricane Katrina. To air some officers "dirty laundry" is totally offensive. Granted there are dirty cops everywhere, but it doesn't make the whole force bad. Some of these officers are risking their lives to help others, even when they have their own losses and tragedies to deal with. Here's an idea: Grow up and be thankful that it's not you having to deal with this catastrophe!!!!!!!!!

Very sad indeed! I find it hard to beleive the lack of prep for a known problem in New Orleans. Which probably means I'm more neive then I thought.

I certain hope people will be able to show the coming help more respect then they feel for there officers rightly or wrongly.

The more I hear about NO the more I wonder if that city is badly located and in need of abandonment. I mean a sinking silt bed is not where I would want to live!

I for one trully believe that the goverment of our wonderful country has drop the ball and let our fellow man down. There is absolutely no reason why they couldnt have been dropping bottles of water to these people that are so hard to get to. They have the helocopters to do it. Why havent they been doing it?

What's a helocopter? Is that like a gangsta copta?

This site lets you click on a square (within a state) and then it zooms in on an aerial view. You should have no problem finding Biloxi on this.
