Dog adopts baby squirrel

This is pretty funny. Apparently, a dog had a litter of puppies about the same time someone asked the dog's owner to take care of a baby squirrel. She put the baby squirrel in with the litter of puppies, and the dog raised it as her own offspring. Lots of pictures, and it's on www.snopes.com, so it checks out as true.

I have to wonder what will happen when the puppies get older...every dog I've ever known loves to chase squirrels, so will the dogs chase every squirrel but this one, or will it be akin to a kid growing up in a racist family, then realizing that African-Americans are OK because he makes friends with a black kid in grade school? Is the mother dog going to realize a transformation similar to Ed Norton's character in American History X?
