D.C. Circuit Court Strikes Down Gun Control - Cites 2nd Amendment

Instanpundit reports that D.C. CIRCUIT STRIKES DOWN DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA GUN CONTROL LAW as a violation of the Second Amendment , adopts individual rights view.

Woohoo! The courts have not consistenly ruled that the 2nd Amendment's right to keep and bear arms is an individual right. Sometimes, they incorrectly view it as a collective right. Even the ACLU, through some embarrassingly tedious reasoning, doesn't deem the 2nd amendment worthy of their support.

So, to have the courts rule in our favor is a big deal. Very big. If the gun control laws in D.C. violate the 2nd amendment, then logically, the same is true of the onerous gun control laws in NYC, Chicago, and San Francisco.

Update: Hit & Run weighs in with Washington, D.C. Discovers Constitution
