Post Katrina Chainsaw Art

Four live oak trees in the median of U.S. Highway 90 Biloxi that died as a result of hurricane Katrina received new life at the hands of skilled chain saw artist Dayton Scoggins. The City of Biloxi commissioned the carvings from Scoggins, a native Mississippian with international acclaim as an award winning chainsaw carving artist. Note: I did not take these photos, nor am I clear who to credit for them. Fly sent them to me today. Thanks, Fly. :)

More photos in extended entry.
