No Catastrophe in Asia
It was a bad day in Japan (the Nikkei Composite finished down 4.1 percent), but the Shanghai Composite closed down just 0.2 percent; the Hang Seng closed up 0.8 percent; Bombay's BSE 30 closed up 2.1 percent. The Seoul Composite was down 0.6 percent.
