Planet 51

I took Jen and Allie to see the movie Planet 51 today. It was pretty intensely lame. Just watered-down milquetoast xenophobic "can't we all get along" drivel. Actually, Hollywood must love producing movies of aliens with computer animation. It allows them to show the raceless future that they dream of where everyone's some color of chocolate and we're all holding hands and singing "kumbaya". Half of the aliens had dread-locks and big lips, so they're not missing a single chance to show you what they want your future to look like. I have to quit going to these movies.

Plus the animation was done by the Spanish firm Ilion Animation, not Pixar, and it shows.
