Postcards from Nowhere: San Francisco - Feb 2013

I've been walking into work every day, packing two canon EOS 50D frames and the following lenses:

The photographs are from North Beach, Greenwich Steps, Filbert Steps, Chinatown, and the Financial District.

This slideshow features a song by The Veils called Vicious Traditions.

The images are compiled into a 20 Meg (4:30) Adobe Flash slideshow (SF0213.swf) that you should be able to open and view with any browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.). To view the slideshow, just click on the photo above. If you want to view the slideshow as a Windows executable, you can play this version (SF0213.exe), and it allows you to play, pause, skip forward, backwards, etc.

Image post-processing was done in Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended. The slideshow was created using Imagematics Stillmotion Pro.

Lyrics in the extended entry.

The Veils
Vicious Traditions

I'd pull my weight if it made any difference
he gave his life for the nine million others
but on his graves written here lies Joseph
his countrys gun and innocent soldier

fight your way out of this one

he grew a blood red vision for all their good intentions
he made an easy million from a foreign investment
he danced with the devils in beautiful buildings
affirmative action for a useful reunion

hed change his name if it made any difference
now hes waiting in line for the lasting confession
but on his graves written here lies our son Joseph
his countrys gun and innocent soldier

well fight your way out of this one
fight your way out of this one
