How to Send Money via PayPal

1) Go to www.paypal.com and sign in. If you don't have an account, create one.
2) Click on the tab that says "Send Money"
3) In the "To" field, enter the email address of phone number of the person you want to transfer money to.
4) Enter the amount.
5) Select the choice for "I'm sending money to family or friends". This way, there no fee if you pay using your PayPal balance, or with a bank account. (Your PayPal account has to be tied directly to a bank account for this to work. If you only have a debit card or a credit card set up in your Pay Pal account, there may be an additional fee that varies based on the amount of the transfer.

Think that will work? Think again. I sold something and had $18 in the account which is tied directly to my main checking account and I was expecting this to show up in my checking account in 2-3 days..Wrong sister! 3 weeks. They held the money for 3 weeks! Something about my not using the account often???I talked to anyone at paypal that would answer the phone or an email and guess what. They Dont Care. Who knew. I wouldn't use PayPal if the gave me free money. signed, Angry Consumer.

Actually, it does work. It works fine. I used it to pay my slumlord $25 in SF. I used it to pay $20 for the class reunion. I used it to pay my rent in SF occasionally. I dunno what caused your bad experience, but I've not had any issues with them. And, as far as transferring money goes, if you find a better way, that's free, let me know. Western Union charges pretty serious fees/commissions. Pay Pal transfers the money for $0.00, and they do it immediately, in my experience.

I talked to several people at PP, most of them barely speaking english and no recourse was available.. The money was put in my PP acct rapidly BUT not released to my checking account for 3 weeks. Now it is what it is. and it also was not free. They kept sev dollars. Bah Humbug. If you paid your rent you don't know how swiftly it went from their PP acct to their checking account. You of all people should know how banks can mess with you and they would not be swayed to release my funds. I wouldn't put up with that from any bank, but PP has you in a bind.
