3/29/23 - 3rd Motorcycle Ride of 2023
Temp High: 56F
Temp Low: 46F
Distance: 58.6 Miles
Today (3/29/23), the weather was nice, so put the cats out and I went for a little motorcycle ride. I'm not clear when I last rode the motorcycle, but it's been a while, I think. I certainly haven't been out on the bike this Spring. (The first day of Spring was Mon, Mar 20, 2023). (The last time I rode was 3/11/2023.)
We got about 3 1/2" of snow a few days ago (March 25/26), but it's pretty much all melted and the driveway is clear. I went for a ride in the Jeep yesterday to check out the road conditions, and everything looked pretty clear. The thing you don't want is to go into a curve in the shade and hit a bunch of snow/ice. But I was pretty sure the roads would be clear, and they were.
Today, the bike indicated the temperature varied from 46F to 56F, which is pretty cold, but with all of my gear on, I was OK. I rode into Evergreen, and then down the canyon to Morrison. Then, I went to the bank to deposit a check. Then to Chic-Fil-A, then home. My ride looked something like this:

2nd Snow of Spring
The 2nd Snow of Spring
Last night (3/24/2023 - 3/25/2023), we got 1/2" of snow, even though there was no snow in the forecast. Before that, we had snow a couple of times over the last few days, but nothing measurable, really. Just a dusting. But last night, we did get a solid 1/2" of snow. My driveway was completely clear, and my yard was mostly clear, but I wake up this morning and the sky is completely blue. Not a cloud in the sky. And my driveway and yard are completely white again. Like we're back to December.

1st Snow of Spring
So, today (3/22/2023), we got a dusting of snow. Nothing measurable, really, I don't think. But it did snow. My driveway is clear, and most of the yard is clear of any snow left over from Winter.

Snow - Yardstick Falls to the Ground
Today (3/13/2023), the yardstick finally fell over in the front yard. I had put it out there to measure the snowfall back in December. The snow held it up all winter until today.

22nd Snow
We haven't had much snow lately. The snow in the front yard was nearly all melted. The snow-yardstick was leaning precariously at about a 20 degree angle from the ground.
Then, it started snowing this afternoon (3/12/2023). We didn't get a whole lot of snow, but it was definitely snowing, and still is. I'll check the snow bin in the morning to see how much we got..Update: Looks like we got about 1/2".
Also, the last day of Winter is Mon, Mar 20, 2023, a week from today. So we'll wave goodbye to Winter and welcome in the Spring in roughly 7 days.
The first day of Spring is Monday, March 20, 2023, at 3:24 p.m. MDT

3/11/23 - 2nd Motorcycle Ride of 2023
So today, I went for another ride on the Africa Twin. It was clear and sunny.
I let the cats out, and they were playing in the yard. The yardstick in the front yard is leaning precariously as the snow melts around its base. And it's been standing since the snows of December.
The motorcycle said the temperature ranged from 46F to 52F. I watched the road really carefully. There was some snow/ice in a few spots, and some water from melting runoffs occasionally, but I rode from my house to Taco Bell in Evergreen and back and I was OK.
When I got back, both of the cats were already inside, so I locked them both in for the night.
I won't miss winter when it's gone. March 20th can't get here soon enough. :P

3/10/23 - 1st Motorcycle Ride of 2023
Today (3/10/2023), I went for a ride on my motorcycle. I believe it was for the first time this year. The forecast was clear and sunny with the temperature in the 50's. So, I went out in the Jeep to Mac Nation, and then I scouted the roads for snow, but the roads were pretty clear.
So, I came back put on a ridiculous amount of gear, got on the Africa Twin, and went for my lfirst ride of 2023. My ride was something like this. I think that 52F was the coldest it got. Temperature hovered between 54F and 52F.
During the ride, my cell phone died because it wasn't charging. This is an issue because I use the iPhone to navigate. I run Waze on it, and it gives me directions, shows me where traffic is, etc. But 285 southbound out of Morrison was a nightmare of traffic, and my iphone died because the cable won't charge it, so now I've got to fix this nightmare.
I'm not sure what's with the iPhone 6S, but some cables will charge it, and some cables won't. So, I rode down the hill to Walmart in the Jeep and bought 2 new cables for the iPhone 6S. Come back, open up a new one, plug it in, and it won't charge the iPhone 6S. Not sure what's going on.
But I was glad to get in my ride today. I believe that this is the first ride of the year because we got a lot of snow in December, and it just never melted. I still have about 5 inches of snow in my front yard, but my driveway is clear (finally). Mark had come over at least once and used his snow blower to clear my driveway, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's safe to ride the motorcycle. Finally, over the last few days, the driveway melted so that it was safe to ride the Africa Twin to the top of the driveway.
Technically, it's still winter. But It looks like the first day of Spring is 10 days from today, on March 20, 2023.

Wendy's Cancels Italian Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich
Recently, Wendy's canceled their Italian Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich. It's a shame because the sandwich was like meth. They should have never canceled it.
