Kenosha Pass
So today, it was warm and sunny and, after Goat Happy Hour, I decided to make a break for it and try to summit Kenosha Pass.
It's been warm enough lately that I'm letting the cats out all day. I still put them up at night, but that may change shortly. Now that the snow has all melted in the yard, it's probably time for me to just let them come and go as they please.
It looks like it's about 43 miles each way and, when I got to the summit, there were two dudes on Harleys that were just wrapping up their tour of the summit and fixing to head back northbound on US Hwy 285. So, I just joined with them and followed them back as far as North Turkey Creek.
So, I'm pretty sure that that was the first time I've summited Kenosha Pass this year (4/9/2023). I'm not sure what the temperature was at the summit, but my guess is somewhere between 50F-54F.
Then, when I got back, I went to the Sonic. I hate that they've taken the Steak and Bacon Cheese Sandwich off of the menu. They'll still let you order it, but the fact that it's not on their menu makes me think that it will be going away soon.
